We have received a large number of applications for the three available positions, and are no longer accepting applications for them.  We will review them and begin calling for references and setting up appointments by the end of November.

 

The Immokalee Water & Sewer District is accepting applications for:

 

A full-time Service Tech I for the Water Department.  The position will be mainly responsible for meter reading. The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, usually a “GED “, or the equivalent of one year of experience in the maintenance of water systems field and a valid FL Drivers License.  The successful applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and drivers’ license check before employment can begin.

 

We are also accepting applications for:

 

A full-time Service Tech I for the wastewater system.  Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and love working outdoors.  Experience with heavy equipment and irrigation necessary. This position will primarily be responsible for maintaining the District’s Sprayfield “irrigation” operation. The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, usually a "GED", or the equivalent of one year of experience in the maintenance of wastewater or irrigation systems field and a valid FL Drivers License. The applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, pre-employment physical and drivers’ license check before employment can begin.

 

IWSD is also accepting applications for a full-time Service Tech I for its Wastewater Collection department.  The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, usually a "GED", or the equivalent of one year of experience in the maintenance of wastewater systems field and a valid FL Drivers License. A CDL “B” with airbrake certification must be obtained before end of 90-day probationary period.  The applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, pre-employment physical and drivers’ license check before employment can begin.
